The garden post includes two horizontal prewired socket outlets (16A / 250Vac) with pin earthing, shutters, plug-in terminals and two inputs. It has an IP55 protection degree and is equipped with a spike that needs to be driven directly into the earth. Its functional design makes the garden post a perfect fit for outdoor applications which require two angled plugs and outdoor areas, such as gardens, flower beds,... Moreover, the entire unit is splashproof, which makes it extremely well-suited for use in damp areas and demanding environments.
The garden post is manufactured in corten steel – a steel grade that naturally develops a warm, protective oxide layer when exposed to outdoor atmospheric conditions. Upon delivery, the garden post is still free of corrosion. The steel has been factory grit-blasted to remove the mill scale and to ensure that the garden post will rust evenly.
For larger gardens or installations with multiple garden posts, the garden post essential offers the ability to safely establish a connection to other power points. The garden post comes with two cable glands on the underside, which ensure that the cables are securely attached.
The adjustable cable glands are suitable for cables with a diameter between 4mm and 15mm. Thicker ground cables will also fit in the multi-layer cable glands with no issues.
Are you not going to establish a connection, so you only need one cable gland? The rubber layers of the multi-layer cable gland fully close off the slot. This means internal components remain protected against moisture, dirt and insects.
